In the seaport «Pivdenny» for 10 months, more than 40 million tons of cargo were handled. This is the best result of cargo turnover among all seaports of the country. This was reported by the press service of the USPA.
“According to the information of the main dispatching office of the «Pivdenny» seaport administration, in January-October 2021, port operators of the port handled 42 million 603 thousand tons of cargo. Most of all, during the reporting period, ore was handled — 23 million 951 thousand tons, grain — 7 million 226 thousand tons and containers — 2 million 406 thousand tons, ”the press service said.
Note that if we talk about exports, then the turnover here amounted to 34 million 124 thousand tons, and as for imports, then we see the mark of 4 million 692 thousand tons. The transshipment of transit cargo amounted to 3 mln. The processing of containers in the port since the beginning of the year amounted to 2 million 406 thousand tons (186 836 TEU.)
