Japanese container line Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Universal Container Services (UCS) have opened a dedicated container storage center in the port of Hamburg. It is reported by the news portal Splash247. The opening of the new center follows the success of a similar facility in the Port of Rotterdam, which opened in 2019.
The new center in Hamburg will have storage facilities for 4,000 TEU, including 25 refrigerators, on an area of 60,000 square meters. There will also be three dedicated reachstackers and three empty handlers.
Johan Pijpers, Internal Operations and Procurement Manager at ONE, said: «ONE is focused on providing best-in-class services to its customers, while ensuring that ONE can grow in one of the most important ports in Europe.»
