ONE and UCS open container storage center in the Port of Hamburg

Japanese container line Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Universal Container Services (UCS) have opened a dedicated container storage center in the port of Hamburg. It is reported by the news portal Splash247. The opening of the new center follows the success of a similar facility in the Port of Rotterdam, which opened in 2019.

The new center in Hamburg will have storage facilities for 4,000 TEU, including 25 refrigerators, on an area of ​​60,000 square meters. There will also be three dedicated reachstackers and three empty handlers.

Johan Pijpers, Internal Operations and Procurement Manager at ONE, said: «ONE is focused on providing best-in-class services to its customers, while ensuring that ONE can grow in one of the most important ports in Europe.»
