The interdepartmental working group on the coordination of anti-corruption reform was established with the aim of directing the actions of the central executive authorities on anti-corruption reform and its communication, increasing the effectiveness of anti-corruption institutions and implementing individual anti-corruption projects in central executive bodies and state companies.
The next meeting of the interdepartmental working group was held at the Government House on October 5, 2018, chaired by the Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Sergey Degtyarenko. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, ministries, the National Police, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, the Reform Office, representatives of the project “Supporting organizations-leaders in combating corruption in Ukraine“ interaction ”and the Government-public initiative“ Together Against Corruption ” .
There were the agenda reviewed issues of updating the staff of the interdepartmental working group on the coordination of anti-corruption reform, the provisions of the Monitoring and Evaluation System of the implementation of the Communication Strategy in the field of preventing and combating corruption in 2018-2020, the provisions of the Methodological Recommendations for evaluating government agencies on the effectiveness of anti-corruption communications and use them communication channels.
Assessment of the communication activities effectiveness can be carried out according to various parameters: organizational and professional viability, as well as resource support of the institution, is a premise for conducting effective mass communication activities. However, the proposed methodology for assessing public authorities on the effectiveness of anti-corruption communications and their use of communication channels focuses not so much on premises, but on the evaluation of the results of the communication work carried out.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, based on the results of the meeting, a decision was made according to the results of the Methodological Recommendations certain provisions for estimating state bodies on the effectiveness of anti-corruption communications and their use of communication channels.
