The Offshore-energy portal informs that the award ceremony was held as part of the BlueInvest Day event organized by the European Commission, and the Eco Wave Power award was presented by Virginijus Sinkevičius, Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries of the European Commission. He congratulated Eco Wave Power and said that this award is especially important because it shows the public interest in the introduction of new technologies.

As part of the selection process for the BlueInvest Awards 2021, the 20 best European startups in the field of blue economy were selected to present a commission of investors and experts on the virtual stage. This year’s categories have been identified on the basis of the technologies that have attracted the most interest from impact investors and are a priority for the EU Green Course.
