The event included a symbolic laying of the foundation for Berber’s new economic zone, the first phase of which is under construction.

The new container terminal with a 400 m berth and three ship-to-shore (STS) gantry cranes can handle the largest container vessels. DP World has pledged to invest up to $ 442 million in port development and expansion.
