The TASS news agency reports that the container ship Ever Given has begun moving north towards the lakes.
“The vessel has begun to move north towards the lakes, where its technical inspection will be carried out,” a spokesman for the department told TASS. “The tugs insure the movement of the container ship, which is moving on its own.”
The Marinetraffic website shows that the ship is indeed in motion. Its speed is 7.4 knots. At about 16:00, information appeared that Ever Given, due to strong winds, partially turned around and again stood almost across the channel. They were later denied by the channel management.
