In the framework of the working visit to the United Arab Emirates, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, CEO of one of the world’s largest port operators DP World.
During the meeting, the President outlined the course of reforms in Ukraine aimed to ensure favorable business climate. He also informed the interlocutor on the plans to privatize state-owned enterprises.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem confirmed his company’s intentions to invest in the Ukrainian port industry and expressed hope for the further successful implementation of the projects of DP World in Ukraine. Petro Poroshenko thanked Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem for his consent to join the National Investment Council under the President of Ukraine.
DP World operates 78 terminals in 43 countries.
