Ukrainian Railways plans to increase the number of high-speed trains by 10 units (twice). In particular, it is a rolling stock used on Interсity + class trains. This was reported by the press service of Ukrainian Railways.
«Thus, we will double the fleet of these trains and will be able to offer our customers the best service,» said Evgen Kravtsov, Chairman of the Board of Ukrainian Railways JSC.
The head of Ukrainian Railways also added that the company set a record for an overhaul of passenger cars: «We managed to upgrade about 200 passenger cars, this is a record for the last 7 years. This year we plan to renew about 40 cars with such repairs. Also, by the end of the year we will receive the first diesel train produced in Ukraine, which we plan to put on the route to the Borispol airport.
