Rohr-Idreco Dredge Systems BV has presented a project for a high-end 100% electric powered vessel called the iBoat.
“Whether it’s anchoring, mooring or ancillary operations: the iBoat is the perfect piece of equipment for the job,» the company said.
What do we know about the project? The main advantages are zero emissions, maximum energy efficiency, reduced noise levels during operation, ease of transportation in 40-foot containers. The project was developed in collaboration with Groeneveldt Marine Construction and built in the Netherlands to the highest standards. Note that Rohr-Idreco Dredge Systems designs and manufactures vessels and dredging equipment for the mining industry.
