NYK to order a new wood-chip carrier

NYK  has ordered a new wood-chip carrier from Oshima Shipbuilding according to the terms of a long-term contract with Mitsubishi Paper Mills Limited (MPML).

New ship will be 210 meters in length,  and will be able to load 4.3 million cubic feet of wood chips.

This vessel should be harmonized with IMO 2020 SOx (sulfur oxide) emission regulations.

The 59,900 dwt carrier is scheduled for the delivery in 2021.

It should be mentioned, that NYK Line also has got a long-term contracts with Hokuetsu Kishu Paper for seven wood-cheap carriers.
