GMP will build a container terminal in the French port of Le Havre

The Supervisory Board of the French port of Le Havre chose the Générale de Manutention Portuaire (GMP) to conclude a concession agreement for the construction and use of the container terminal.

According to the terms of the contract, GMP will build a container terminal for berths No. 11 and No. 12 in the western part of the port and will be responsible for its operation.

The terminal capacity will be 1 million TEU, the length of container berths will be 700 m, and the total area will be 42 ha.

The concession agreement, which will be signed soon, will last 34 years, including two years of preparation and design, two years of construction and 30 years of operation.

GMP is a joint venture of DP World, a port operator in Dubai, and Terminal Link, a subsidiary of the French shipping company CMA CGM.
