The Ocean Network Express company has published a video of the passage of the container ship «ONE Hawk» through the Panama Canal. This is the first container ship with a capacity of 14 thousand TEU, which passed through the canal.
The Seanews news portal reports that the increase in precipitation in the canal basin has raised the level of Lake Gatun above normal for this time of year. As of June 9, the water level was 85.7 feet (approximately 26.1 m). Therefore, the Panama Canal Authority has increased the maximum permitted draft for vessels of the Neopanamax class. The ONE Hawk is 364.15 m long, -50.6 m wide, with a maximum draft of 11.5 m. The container ship proceeded northward from the Pacific to the Atlantic.
