Major names in the breakbulk, maritime and project cargo industry are confirmed to attend AntwerpXL, the new event for the logistics of breakbulk, RoRo, and heavy lift which is being hosted at the Port of Antwerp in Belgium on 7-9 May. The sector’s top industry names, including Fednav, BBC Chartering, RHB, Tata Steel, Siemens and Spliethoff, are among the list of exhibitors, sponsors and visitors attending — a major endorsement for the inaugural exhibition and conference being held at the largest breakbulk and steel port in Europe.
The three-day event brings together leading industry players, companies and breakbulk professionals to showcase innovative new products and services, debate the latest trends and market forecasts, and take part in numerous networking events.
Ann De Smet, Business Development Manager at the Port of Antwerp, which is the Host Sponsor for the event, said: “We are delighted to have the breakbulk exhibition and conference back at the home of breakbulk.”
Fednav, Canada’s largest ocean-going dry-bulk shipowning and chartering group, has been confirmed as Gold Sponsor for the exhibition, which will also provide the backdrop for the group’s 75th anniversary celebrations.
Etienne De Vel, Commercial Manager, European Services and Director Fednav (Belgium) N.V., said: “AntwerpXL is a great opportunity to meet all of our customers in just a few days, and possibly make some new connections. Fednav is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, so we will not only be participating with our stand, but we are also proud to sponsor the Fednav VIP Lounge, where we are inviting our clients for a private drink on the second day.”
As Silver Sponsor, world leader in the ocean carriage of heavy lift and project cargoes, BBC Chartering, will be sponsoring a VIP club at the show. This will include a concierge service to assist with one-to-one meetings, plus access to exclusive events.
Panalpina World Transport, one of the world’s leading providers of supply chain solutions, and RHB Stevedoring & Warehousing, the private deep sea breakbulk stevedoring terminal in the Port of Rotterdam, have also signed up as a Bronze Sponsors for the show.
Enzo Philips, Country Head of Marketing & Sales at Panalpina World Transport, said: “It is great that Panalpina is present at the upcoming AntwerpXL exhibition. We will be sharing some of our best practices and trends in the brother Project Cargo business with visitors. It’s also exciting because, not only do we have a chance to hear about the latest trends and developments in the market, but more importantly it gives us a golden opportunity to reconnect with peers, clients and partners. It’s great to be back for AntwerpXL!”.
Among the growing list of over 100 exhibitors already confirmed to showcase new products and services at AntwerpXL are Fednav, BBC Chartering, Spliethoff, Conti7, American Roll-on Roll-off Carrier, MSC and Breadbox.
Visitors confirmed to attend include representatives from Thryssenkrupp, BP, Tata Steel, DHL, XPO logistics, Caterpillar, British Steel and Siemens. They will have the opportunity to meet with the industry’s leading transport specialists, see the latest technologies available in the market and discover the sector’s most exciting innovations.
The exhibition will run alongside a highly-anticipated conference programme where breakbulk decision makers from across the global can share knowledge, learn from industry experts and enjoy numerous networking opportunities. On the Main Deck Stage, a dedicated content programme will focus on innovation, digitisation and lessons from the disruptors. Two content streams across the two days will focus on futureproofing breakbulk and inspiring the future of the breakbulk, Ro-Ro and heavy lift industry.
Bob Delbecque, an internationally-renowned company energiser and business coach, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the event. Bob specialises in helping organisations to improve and transform their business models, implement new strategies, and invigorate and inspire people within the business.
As part of the conference programme, all Project Forwarding Managers and rising stars associated with shipping and project forwarding sectors will be able to gain access to a certified, ISO accredited PPG Education Programme.
