Taiwan Navigation Orders Kamsarmax Duo in Japan

Ship owner and operator Taiwan Navigation has decided to further expand its fleet with the order of two Kamsarmax units at a Japanese shipyard.

According to the company’s stock exchange filing, the 80,000 dwt vessels were ordered from Namura Shipbuilding.

Taipei-listed Taiwan Navigation would pay a total of USD 67.9 million for the new bulkers. The units are reportedly scheduled for delivery in 2021.

According to data provided by VesselsValue, the Taiwanese shipowner has a fleet of 20 bulkers.
