19.10.2018 TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) announced the delivery of the LNG carrier Marvel Eagle.
The vessel is the first of three newbuilding LNG carriers, for which MOL and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. signed charter contracts in September 2014 and January 2015. Its main assignment will be transporting LNG from the Mitsui & Co.-backed Cameron LNG project in the U.S. state of Louisiana.
Before the delivery, on September 5, a naming ceremony was held at the Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. Sakaide Shipyard before a large crowd of onlookers and representatives of the companies involved.
