In October, transshipment through the berth of the EBT marine grain terminal for the first time amounted to 278 thousand tons, and the number of ships handled – 10 units. This was reported in the press service of EBT Grain.
The key cargoes during this period were wheat and corn, the new crop of which began to arrive at the terminal for storage in early autumn.
Cargo turnover has grown due to the intensive development of the terminal, especially in terms of expanding the reception capacities of road and rail transport. Also, with the launch of the second-floor storage warehouse in September, storage capacity increased by 90 thousand tons. The growth of transshipment was also facilitated by the attraction of new customers. In September-October, four new customers were added.
Recall that in October the EBT terminal exceeded its first million tons of agricultural products for export.
