The second consignment of General Electric locomotives for Ukrzaliznytsia was unloaded in the seaport of Chernomorsk. It consists of seven diesel locomotives, which arrived to Ukraine on the vessel BBC ELBE. After passing the customs procedures, the locomotives will be sent to the Kryukov Railway Car Building Works PJSC for additional equipment.
In the port of Chernomorsk seven more locomotives were unloaded by General Electric.
Recall, the first installment of 30 GE locomotives arrived on September 10. Now it’s at the stage of final manning.
According to Ukrzaliznytsya plans, the 8 diesel locomotives will start working on the railway in November this year, they plan to use them for transportation in the south.
The next batch of locomotives is expected for unloading in a few weeks.
